Comfort. It goes to your head.

06/13/05  -  "Hat hair" sufferers can now doff their caps without worry with the introduction of a new baseball-style cap created for women and girls who have bangs. The innovative front opening of the Bang-go® cap allows hair to freely extend out and be supported by the visor. The cap is a step ahead for people who want comfort and style.

Lauren Hoyez, president of Zeyoh, Inc., developed the cap after searching for comfortable headgear for several years.

"As an avid golfer, I'm concerned about protecting my face and top of my head from exposure to the sun," she said. "But I couldn't find a hat that fits a hairstyle with bangs."

Visors aren't always a good option since they tend to pinch, she added.

After researching and re-sewing disassembled baseball hats, she developed a prototype, and received a patent in 2003. The unique design allows for a custom fit by a normal adjustment at the back of the cap. Additional movement of the crown and bill make Bang-go caps comfortable for most heads. In addition, the visor can be removed and worn separately.

Hoyez said she knew it was a winner when she removed the cap after finishing 18 holes of golf.

"A women in the clubhouse complimented me on my hair cut," Hoyez said. "That was definitely a first, since normally my hair and bangs always look 'smashed' and 'dented' after removing a regular cap."

Bang-go caps have a suggested retail price of $20.00. Initially, the caps are available in black and white. Other colors will be added in future months.
